Deliveries to Residences & other Non-business addresses
01 April 2014
Due to the high rate of instances where no-one is available to sign or where re-delivery is required, TNT now levies us a surcharge for these services.
We realise that many customers genuinely operate a business from their home address. Unfortunately, if your postcode is recognised as residential, the surcharge is unavoidable. Details are shown in the Delivery Charges & Policy section of the Help & FAQ page on our website.
In such cases, we suggest you give us an alternative business address, where your package can be signed for and be safe until you can collect it. Such places may include your employer's address (if you work from home), or a local business (if you know the owner well), including village shop, garage or pub.
We can also offer a 2nd Day service by Royal mail, although this is only cost effective for packages less than 1Kg.
